Reading the news, there appear to be a lot of malicious entities out there, be it "state sponsored" like hacking team or simply "petty criminals" and therefore having a device were any application can gain root access is rather scary!
if KingRoot can gain root on my device, then so can presumably every Virus/Trojan/and other malware out there do the same and circumvent any security that is in place to protect my private data. This might be the wrong thread to ask this question, but is there a way to make sure KingRoot does NOT work? Hopefully the developer can look into this case and will improve it over time, as I'm amazed about this program anyway :) At least this app had any success, as nothing else was able to do anything. But it also shows that it's exactly the same like before, so it seems it was either an incredible buggy temp root, or no root at all. After a restart of the phone, luckily everything is completely normal again. When I selected to unroot in Kingroot, I got a ton of closed applications messages, and even my launcher has crashed. The settings app always crashes instantly. Even worse, I have a lot of other services and apps crashing, mainly Google Play services. The app "Root Checker" confirms that there is no root access on the system, so it wasn't successful. The content is black for 10 seconds, and then it crashes. Only Purify is installed after that, but it's not able to start up. It's not logged in it's "Records" menu ("Waiting root request"), apps like KingUser aren't installed. The program says it had success to root the device, but it's not able to progress any further.
